Eurostars Metropole, the oldest hotel in Riga, opened in 1871 and was the first in Latvia with hot running water. Located on Aspazijas Boulevard, it borders Riga's UNESCO-listed Old Town. My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms had scuffed and discolored walls, which was a letdown for the price paid, and they were noisy due to the passing trains. On the bright side, the location was fantastic, and the staff made our 20th Anniversary special. The dining experience had room for improvement, especially in terms of breakfast options.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The rooms were lovely, with a nice view of the train station tower clock from the suite. The service was exceptional, with the staff being kind and helpful at every turn. The location was unbeatable, right near the old town and central market. The dining experience was pleasant, offering a good choice of dishes. Overall, a great value for money.
